City Clerk

The City Clerk's Office works with the City Council, City Manager, departments and divisions, and the public. 

The department is responsible for:

  • Administering the City's elections
  • Assisting in the recruitment of residents to serve on various City Council advisory boards, commissions, and committees
  • Managing the City Council's official records
  • Overseeing the preparation of the agenda and minutes for the City Council and Successor Agency
  • Processing documents to carry out the legislative actions of the City Council
  • Providing access to public records and information
  • Receiving liability claims
