Earlier this year, 70% of downtown property owners voted to support the formation of a new Santa Paula Downtown Property Business Improvement District (PBID). Though the collection of a property-based assessment, the PBID will finance activities and amenities that will improve Santa Paula’s downtown corridor and enhance the experience for residents and visitors to the downtown. The PBID will be formed for a 3-year period, starting January 1, 2020 and will be governed by a volunteer board of directors. Assessments will be levied for the 2020 calendar year and invoices will be sent out in early January under separate cover.
