The Finance Department is primarily responsible for the establishment and maintenance of effective financial systems to accurately reflect the finances of the City and provide a financial framework for planning and reporting.


The Department coordinates with the City Treasurer and provides a variety of services, including:

  • Accounts receivable/payable
  • Budget and grants accounting
  • Customer billing and collection for charges, fees, licenses and permits such as:
    • Building or hazardous material permits
    • Business and dog licenses
    • Utilities
  • Debt administration
  • Financial reporting
  • General accounting
  • Payroll
  • Purchasing
