The Santa Clara River Conservancy (SCRC), in coordination with UCSB, CDFW, and Still Water Sciences will develop working plans to guide restoration of riparian and wetland habitats and natural river function on the property to its historic natural state. A major goal for this project is to plan for restoration of native riparian habitat on this property. Additionally, the surrounding communities are currently isolated from the river and have asked for increased public access to the river for some time. SCRC and CDFW hope to address some of that demand in the envisioned public access improvements on this property.
