Mayor Carlos Juarez was elected in 2018 and is serving his first term on the City Council.
As a long-time resident of Santa Paula he sees the challenges facing our city, he is looking forward to this opportunity to continue to work for the residents of Santa Paula.
Carlos attended Santa Paula elementary schools and is a 1979 graduate of the Santa Paula High School; he has a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management from the University of La Verne.
He worked for the Santa Paula Police Department, serving over 27 years and retiring in 2011 as the Lieutenant in charge of the Support Division.
Prior to retirement and in the subsequent years, Carlos has stayed involved in the community as a volunteer with the formation of the Police Memorial and future Fire Memorial. He was vice-chair of the Measure T Committee and currently serves on several other boards and organizations.
Carlos is married to Heidi and they have two adult children. In his spare time, he enjoys playing music and performs with a band for various events locally and beyond.
