Fleet Maintenance

Responsibilities

The Fleet Maintenance Division provides maintenance and repair for 130 plus city-owned vehicles and equipment, which includes public safety vehicles, heavy construction equipment, medium and heavy duty trucks, and the City’s back-up emergency generators.  Specifies, acquires and outfits vehicles and equipment tailored to department needs.  Fleet Maintenance is also responsible for the life-cycle management of the City’s fleet to include:  budgeting, data collection, billing reporting, long-term planning, policy development and utilization.

Staff also manages the City’s parts supply and inventory, hazardous waste disposal and complies with all Federal and State emissions regulations and promotes environmentally friendly best management practices.
