The City's paving contractors, J&H Engineering General Contractor, Inc., will continue performing paving work tomorrow, Tuesday, 9/22 at Area 1, for the Citywide Street Maintenance Project as shown on the site map below. The City's contractor will be paving West Telegraph Rd. between Country View Ct. and Peck Rd. Paving is planned to continue through next week to cover Areas 5, 6, and 7.
This work will require intermittent traffic lane closures causing an increase in traffic in the work zone area. If possible, please avoid the construction area and adjust your commute accordingly. Please:

The City's paving contractors, J&H Engineering General Contractor, Inc., Pavement Coatings, Co., and Super Seal & Stripe, will be performing road maintenance work on various streets throughout the City as part of the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Citywide Street Maintenance Project. Scope of work for Phase II of the Citywide Street Maintenance consists of performing a thin asphalt overlay on City streets. This project will improve the overall ride quality and structural integrity of the pavement and ultimately extend the service life of these streets for many years.
The City of Santa Paula is excited to unveil the release of two educational videos on pavement management for its residents. The first video, Pavement Management 101, provides insight into the complex process and considerations for managing Santa Paula’s streets and roads, while the second video, 2020-2025 Pavement Management Plan, overviews the plans and projects planned over the next 5 years.

The City’s contractors will begin road maintenance work on various streets throughout the City as part of the Citywide Street Maintenance Project. Street maintenance consist of applying crack seals, rejuvenator seals, micro surfacing, and thin asphalt overlay over existing streets. These street maintenance techniques will help improve the overall ride quality and structural integrity of the pavement and ultimately extend the service life of these streets for many years. Scheduled street maintenance operations for the week of 5/18, will affect 25 local streets, as shown on the schedule below. Hours of operation are scheduled from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Residents will be notified in advance when street parking will be affected via door hangers and no‐parking signage. Your patience and cooperation while construction is underway and patience with any brief traffic is appreciated.

The Citywide Street Maintenance Project (Project), beginning May 2020 the City’s paving contractors will be performing road maintenance work on numerous streets throughout the city. Contractors will be applying crack seals, asphalt rejuvenator seals, micro-surfacing and thin asphalt overlay to existing city streets.
Construction is anticipated to take place May 2020 through August 2020. In general, hours of operation are scheduled from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. Specific construction details and affected streets for each phase of the Project will be posted online by the City, and residents will be notified in advance when street parking will be affected via door hangers and no-parking signage. It’s important to note that some streets may be temporarily closed off for several hours at a time during construction.
While Santa Paula’s streets will be greatly improved after this Project is implemented, the City urges everyone to keep in mind that street maintenance and repair is a continuous process. Therefore, while all this work is occurring, the Santa Paula Public Works team will be hard at work planning for ongoing maintenance projects to help keep the Santa Paula community moving.
The City’s contractor, Toro Enterprises Inc., will begin paving of roads on April 30, 2020 for the 2019‐2020 Slurry Seal and Rehabilitation Project. The project encompasses local road improvement of Areas B and C as approved in the capital improvement program for fiscal year 2019‐2020. Paving operations will affect seventeen (17) local streets, as shown on the schedule below. Hours of operation are scheduled from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. The City will continue to post a more detailed paving schedule before work commences, including a list of streets that will be affected.
Residents will be notified in advance when street parking will be affected via no‐parking signage.
