Santa Paula Springs Forward with a Bushel of Community Events!

April Cruise Night Flyer

The City of Santa Paula is kicking off the spring season with several exciting events for the community to enjoy. These events provide the perfect opportunity to meet new people while enjoying the beautiful Santa Paula weather. Whether you're interested in celebrating holidays or simply spending quality time getting to know your neighbors, there is something for everyone in Santa Paula. The City encourages all residents to get involved and mark your calendars for a season of fun and community spirit.

“Community events like Cruise Nights and the ones put on by the Parks and Recreation Department are an essential part of our City's fabric and provide a unique opportunity for community members to come together and enjoy a shared experience,” said Parks and Recreation Director Gregory Barnes. “These events not only enhance the quality of life in our community but also strengthen the bonds between neighbors and promote a sense of civic pride.”

The Easter and Earth Day event, taking place on April 1, 2023, is a free, family-friendly event featuring music, prizes, games, egg hunting, obstacle courses, a photobooth and more. The Santa Paula Parks and Recreation Department will be coordinating egg hunts for kids of all ages at the following times:

  • 7 years old and younger: 11 a.m.
  • 8-12 years old: 11:45 a.m.
  • 13 years old and up: 12:45 p.m.

The event will be at Teague Park and begins at 10 a.m. If you have any additional questions about this event, please call (805) 933-4226 ext. 350.

The first Cruise Night event of the year marks its 25th anniversary in Santa Paula. In addition to more than 200 classic vehicles from all over Ventura County, a wide range of vendors will be available for residents to enjoy on April 7, as well as entertainment by Jacob Marquez and the Good Vibes.

Started in 1998 by retired Santa Paula Police officers Henry Aguilar and Dave Anderson, Cruise Night has become a beloved special event for the community. The events take place on the first Friday of each month from April through October.

Last year, the Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Paula Together organization provided financial support for the event. They covered key costs associated with permits, insurance, street closures, entertainment and more. In honor of the quadricentennial anniversary, these organizations as well as the downtown Property Business Improvement District (PBID) and the Santa Paula Police Officers Association will be supporting Cruise Night season once again.

The Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce has been leading the charge to enlist local vendors for each Cruise Night event. Food trucks will be brought in to provide attendees with a wide range of dining and shopping options.

In addition, the downtown PBID is in full support of the event, helping to ensure that the downtown area is ready for crowds to enjoy the classic cars, food and entertainment. The City will also provide event sponsorship funds to event organizers to support their efforts.

The City is grateful for the support of its partners in making this year's Cruise Night season happen. Everyone is invited to attend the events and enjoy the festivities on the first Friday of the month from April through October. For more information about Cruise Night events, please contact the Santa Paula Chamber of Commerce at (805) 525-5561 or visit their website at

In addition to these events, the Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting activities for kids ages 5 to 13 at parks in the City through the Mobile Activity Center Program in April. Check out the City’s Recreation Guide to get more information about dates and locations for this program, and visit the Parks and Recreation webpage to stay up to date on all of the community events coming to Santa Paula this spring.
